Air Duct Cleaning Aylmer, ON
For a home in Aylmer, the right duct-cleaning scope depends on what is inside the system, not on a presumed local dust problem. If renovation debris, visible buildup, or contamination is a concern, inspect accessible registers and the furnace area, and note which rooms seem affected. Ask whether the proposed work covers both supply and return trunks and branches, uses negative pressure while brushing, and includes a clear explanation of what the inspection can and cannot confirm.
What should a duct-cleaning quote include?
A useful estimate identifies the supply and return sections to be cleaned, the access points needed, and how debris will be contained. Photos of accessible areas can help clarify the proposed scope.
Check the cleaning method
Ask how the equipment will keep the duct system under negative pressure while each branch is brushed. Brushing without effective collection can move loosened material elsewhere. Confirm whether the quote includes both supply and return runs, the main trunks, and accessible furnace connections, so the work is not limited to the registers that are easiest to reach.
Compare inspection documentation
Before booking, ask which duct sections can be photographed and whether images will be labelled by location. Camera views can help compare accessible surfaces before and after work, but they do not show every concealed section. Clear documentation helps you understand what was inspected, what could not be reached, and whether the completed scope matches the estimate.
Choose timing around the project
If tillage, harvest, nearby construction, or another dusty activity affects your property, consider its timing when deciding whether cleaning is useful now or later. These are possible project conditions, not a general finding about Aylmer homes. Check filters and registers after the activity, photograph any visible deposits, and ask whether cleaning or a filter change is the more appropriate next step.
